6 Weeks Old :)

The puppies have been enjoying time out on the deck over the last few days.  They go for their first vet checks and vaccines on Friday morning and after that will be able to venture down into the yard :)  All of them love to play, and run around until they tire themselves out and fall asleep for a few hours!!  I was able to take these pictures outside on the deck and all of the colors look so nice in the natural daylight.  With only a couple of weeks left I am sure everyone is getting very excited and preparing for their new family member :)  Hope you enjoy the photos in the mean time!

When the puppies run around on the deck they like to chase Hilo for milk.  Today she jumped up on the patio table to get a break from them :)

They like to pester Kona too.....so he cuddled up with Adam in our swinging patio chair to watch the action :)

Here are a few more pairs and trios as well as the large group picture with names so that you can find your puppy :)

5 Weeks Old :)

Wow!! Time flies.  The puppies are 5 weeks old, and everyone is doing great.  They are growing fast and have learned that there is a big world outside of the puppy pen.  They have transitioned from soft food to puppy kibble that has been soaked in warm water to make it easier to eat.  All the puppies have sharp little teeth and have started to chew on toys.....and on each other :)  They are very playful and happy to see me when I get up in the morning, and make lots of noises.  Sometimes we think we have a litter of kittens.....as they can even sound like they are meowing :)  It is very cute.  Hilo is weaning; but still nurses them occasionally.  She likes to lick them and clean them up when they eat......and also to finish up any of their leftovers :)  Here are some new pictures.  Hope you enjoy.  Before you know it you will be taking your puppies home ;)

Just some more cute photos :)

Not too much to update......but I thought I would post some more pictures.  My father-in-law is teaching me about how to do these photos in the window light with a shallow depth of field :)

Open Eyes :)

All the puppies have opened their eyes, and are starting to get up on all four legs and move around.  They are growing fast, and are all about the same size with the exception of our little girl "Daisy".  We are pleased to announce that her forever name is Ceili (pronounced Kaylee - meaning companion), and she will be going home to Calgary with Kerri.  Our only boy "Oakley" will be finding his forever home with Jodi and Matt who have affectionately named him Sprocket.  I hope you enjoy the photos, and are as excited as we are to see these open eyes!!  Hilo continues to be an attentive Mom and the babies are nursing and gaining well.  Next week they will start lapping some goat's milk with a bit of soft food mixed in.  I will be sure to get some pictures of that to post.
